It’s made me aware of bits of my body I never noticed. It’s like opening a door you didn’t know was there.
Like the sitting bones, I’d never thought about them, but it’s completely changed the way I sit.
And that thing you said about shoulders – it’s taken maybe 2%, 5% of the tension, but when you add all those bits up it makes a big difference.
I feel lighter. |

As I lay peacefully on the floor just now, I thought, AT sure beats muscle relaxants, which is how I used to cope with the knots in my back. I even had a massage this afternoon (very nice it was), but I was back in knots after a few hours. 10 minutes on the floor and I am good to go. |

I've really enjoyed my Alexander Technique lessons this year, they have helped me a lot and I hope to keep going and learn more in 2009. I'm particularly grateful that you can skate and that this is helping my skating, as well as my skating finding problems that Alexander Technique can fix! |

I cheered up on my way to our lesson as I was looking forward to our session. |

After a session with Shelagh I feel like I'm floating. It's incredible that a type of therapy that is so non-invasive can be so thoroughly effective. Although what Shelagh does is so gentle, the results are dramatic. These sessions have not only transformed the way I sing, but they've transformed the way I sleep, wake up, walk, sit, stand, and live in general!
Alexander sessions with Shelagh are as important to the state of my singing voice as any lessons I have with singing teachers. |
